Jim Evans
President & CEO
Strategic Property Associates, LLC.


Mr. Evans has been a key equity owner of the company since 1997. He has been involved in all aspects of the companies, guiding the strategic direction of the companies and client relationships. His extensive experience in due diligence, underwriting, loan servicing, and asset management has assisted our clients in making key investment and problem resolution decisions. Exposure to billions of dollars of real estate transactions through due diligence and loan servicing activities has allowed him to continue to help our clients enhance their asset management decisions. Mr. Evans has led and continues to serve on a variety of industry committees focused on the improvement of the CRE industry. Prior to his tenure at Strategic Property Associates, Mr. Evans served in management positions for sales and distribution companies, with a particular emphasis on business development, financial management / accounting, customer relations / service, and training. Mr. Evans majored in Business Management at California State University at Fullerton.

 
Jon P. Martino
Senior Vice President
Strategic Property Associates, LLC.


Mr. Martino leads the consents team of Strategic Property Associates which is focused on assumption and transfer of interest requests, asset management consents, credit exposure reviews, major tenant lease approvals, and covenant testing. He joined Strategic Property Associates in 2004, and, among other things, has underwritten in excess of 1,000 loan assumption or transfer requests for CMBS and Agency servicers with an aggregate loan balance in excess of $35 billion. Mr. Martino has more than 35 years of commercial real estate experience including due diligence, underwriting, brokerage, investment, and property management. Mr. Martino holds an MBA from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Mr. Martino has a California real estate broker’s license.

Steve Blair
Senior Vice President
Strategic Property Associates, LLC.


Mr. Blair is the head of the due diligence department where he manages Strategic Property Associates’ CMBS and CRE portfolio due diligence and new loan underwriting. He has been with Strategic Property Associates since 2013. Mr. Blair has deep banking and commercial real estate experience including construction finance and workouts, commercial real estate finance and acquisitions, workouts, merger due diligence, CMBS re-underwriting due diligence, etc. Prior to working with Strategic Property Associates, he worked as a senior underwriter with CW Capital Investments in its subordinate bond acquisition division. Prior to this, Mr. Blair was with Arthur Andersen and Crocker National Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank). Mr. Blair attended the University of California Berkeley undergraduate business school with an emphasis in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics with a secondary emphasis in Finance.

Rodney Jorgensen
Vice President
Strategic Property Associates, LLC.


Mr. Jorgensen leads the New Loan Setup department at Strategic Property Associates. He oversees onboarding loans, life of loan review, trigger identification, trigger monitoring, special servicer mailboxes and the various special projects. He joined Strategic Property Associates in 2005 and has experience in every line of business he manages. Since joining Strategic Property Associates, he has become a leader in the analysis of loan document structure, covenants, and triggers. Prior to joining Strategic Property Associates, he was a professional pilot and flight instructor. Mr. Jorgensen graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a B.S degree in Aviation Management in 2000.

Amy Meier
Vice President

Mrs. Meier is responsible for managing the Special Projects team with Strategic Property Associates. She joined Strategic Property Associates in 2013. Throughout the years she developed skills in many aspects of CMBS servicing including insurance audits, insurance certificate collection, deferred maintenance triggers, debt collections, customer due diligence, DACA account management and reserves. This multi layered experience has built excellent customer service skills for not only herself, but for the teams she manages. She currently manages the Reserve Disbursements and Customer Due Diligence teams. In this capacity, she oversees the processing of over $1.7 billion in borrower reserve funds as well as the administration of the full scope of Customer Due Diligence from Know Your Customer evaluations to DACA account closures. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.

Susan Bischoff

Susan Bischoff is the head of HR, Benefits, and Payroll at both Strategic Property Associates and Strategic Asset Services. Since joining Strategic Property Associates in 2004, Susan has made valuable contributions to different departments, in roles including Underwriting Administrator, Reserve Analyst, Receivership Assistant, and Due Diligence Coordinator. In each department Susan contributed her skills and experience to help improve operational processes.

In 2015, Susan transitioned into the HR department. Her dedication and proficiency led to a well-deserved promotion to the position of Head of Human Resources in 2018. Currently, Susan efficiently manages the HR, Benefits, and Payroll functions for a workforce of over 400 employees, demonstrating her commitment to organizational success and employee well-being.

Corey Babarovich

Mr. Babarovich joined Strategic Property Associates in 2003 and has directed the strategic planning and execution of Strategic Asset Services since 2006. He has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate finance including origination, primary servicing, special servicing, asset management, and dispositions, and in those capacities has personally performed thousands of inspections. For the past 10 years, Mr. Babarovich has led the MBA Property Inspection Focus Group, overseeing periodic revisions to the MBA inspection form, the standard used by the industry. He has held management positions at The Bank of New York, GMAC, Bankers Trust Company, and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He holds a B.S. in Real Estate and Finance from University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School and has a California real estate broker’s license.

Brian Clyne
Vice President Operations
Strategic Asset Services, LLC.


Mr. Clyne has been responsible for managing the overall operations of Strategic Asset Services since 2019, including managing the operations of over 300 inspectors across the nation. He took on increasingly more responsibility after joining Strategic Property Associates in 2015 where he managed the Reserve Disbursements team. During his time, he oversaw the processing of over $1.7 billion in borrower reserve funds. In addition to his duties as the head of Reserves, he developed skills in many aspects of CMBS servicing including proficiency in lease reviews, DSCR testing, and financial spreading. As well, he assisted in client underwriting models, due diligence site inspections and due diligence underwriting for loans totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Prior to joining Strategic Property Associates, he managed the day-to-day operations of a residential mortgage quality control company located in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University in 2012.

Kay Pornsithi-Amnuai
Vice President Client Relations
Strategic Asset Services, LLC.


Ms. Pornsithi-Amnuai is the Vice President of Client Relations and manages the team of Client Specialists, who are the dedicated point of contact for SAS’s clients. She joined Strategic Property Associates in 2004 and held multiple positions including Reserves Analyst, Boarding Analyst, and Commercial Loan Analyst. She eventually joined Strategic Asset Services in 2010 as a Client Specialist and was promoted to the Vice President position in 2021. In addition to managing the Client Specialists, she also manages SAS’s largest client, ensuring that completed inspection reports meet all requirements and are delivered in a timely manner. Ms. Pornsithi-Amnuai enjoys traveling and photography and strives to visit new places each year. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a B.A. in Business Management concentrating in Information Systems and Decision Science.

Darlene Campbell
Vice President Hiring and Training

Ms. Campbell joined Strategic Asset Services in 2005 as a commercial property Inspector and has since steadily advanced in her responsibilities. After serving many years as an Inspector, she became a Master Trainer, and then Operations Administrator, overseeing half of the company’s inspection force. During this time, she completed over 1,000 inspections, and developed, implemented, and managed Inspector training programs and systems for quality control. In 2014, she became responsible of managing the overall operations of the company, its staff, and the national team of property Inspectors, as well as engaging in marketing and client relations. Currently, Ms. Campbell oversees SAS’s hiring and training. Her experience in real estate, training, management, and marketing exceeds 30 years.

Ben Ballstaedt
Vice President Quality Control and Special Projects
Strategic Asset Services, LLC.


Mr. Ballstaedt joined Strategic Asset Services in 2010 and has contributed in various roles with the company, notably leadership roles overseeing the Client Relations, and Quality Control. In addition to his leadership roles, Mr. Ballstaedt actively contributes to other aspects of company operations: He created inspection form training and reference guides, and created and conducted a comprehensive training program for the Quality Control team. He also oversees ongoing development and enhancements to the SAS Inspection System, the company’s proprietary technological backbone. Beyond his contributions at SAS, Mr. Ballstaedt actively participates in other aspects of the commercial real estate industry including serving a key role for the MBA Inspection Form Committee, implementing revisions to the form, including the coding of several generations of the MBA Standard Inspection forms. His passion for building and inspiring his teams to do their best, coupled with his knowledge and participation in the industry continues to contribute to the success of the company. He has held management positions at other firms before joining SAS and graduated with B. S. degree in Business Management from the University of Utah.
